KulDhan never stores your documents. It stores where they are.

Never store sensitive identifiers — SSNs, Aadhaar, PAN, passport numbers, bank account numbers, or passwords — anywhere in the app. On a Family plan, anything you enter is visible to other family members according to their assigned access level, so don't enter anything you wouldn't want them to see.

Not document storage

KulDhan only tracks where things are and when they're due — it never stores copies of your actual documents. Your will stays in the locker. KulDhan just remembers which locker.

It's the same for everything else your family needs to know — who to call to collect the rent, what to do the moment you land in India, which cleaner to call before guests arrive. KulDhan doesn't do any of it for you. It just makes sure someone always knows.

What not to enter here

Don't type sensitive ID numbers anywhere in the app, including notes and document fields — you may be sharing access with family members. That means no SSN, Aadhaar, PAN, passport number, or bank account number.

Stick to general descriptions instead, like "passport — top drawer, home office" or "PAN card — with the CA in Mumbai."

Where your data lives

Without signing in, everything you enter — properties, people, documents, notes — stays on your own device only, never sent to us.

Once you sign in and create or join a family, that same data also syncs to KulDhan's servers, so the rest of your family can see it and it's still there if you switch devices. Feedback you type into a check-in and anonymous usage counts reach us either way; neither includes anything from your properties or your family.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this removes your family's data from our servers, not just your device. If you delete the app itself without ever having signed in, you also delete your local copy — there's no KulDhan-side copy to recover it from.

Signing in and subscriptions

Signing in uses Google or Apple's own sign-in, which shares your name and email with us so your family knows who's who. Subscriptions are billed and processed by Google Play or the App Store (through RevenueCat, who handles that on our behalf) — we never see or store your payment details.

Who can see what

If someone is removed from the family

Their history is never deleted. Anything they were assigned shows as "Unassigned," and past activity stays in the Family Activity timeline.

Security

On your device, KulDhan is protected by whatever passcode or Face ID you already use to unlock your phone — no separate app password to create or lose. Data synced to our servers is only reachable through your account sign-in, and only by the family members you've added.
